For looks and for glass. Aluminium frames are slimmer, so you get a sharper, more contemporary frontage and more light into the hall, and you can have any RAL colour. A composite door is the better value if you want solid and traditional.
Is an aluminium door warm enough?
Yes. Ours are thermally broken, meaning there is an insulating barrier running through the frame, so the inside face stays warm and you do not get the condensation you might remember from old aluminium.
Can it match my aluminium windows or bi-fold?
That is usually the whole point of fitting one. We match the colour and the sightlines across the door, the windows and any bi-fold so the front and back of the house read as one job.
